Thrive staff are not simply supervisors, but rather mentors to your children. We are experienced and passionate about working with kids to see them reach their full potential. We take multiple training courses and seminars each year to enhance our ability to make a positive influence on your child’s life, including but not limited to the following topics:
physical, emotional, social and intellectual development for kids 10-12 years
recognizing and responding to abuse
risk assessment and risk management of outdoor activities
understanding and communicating with scout aged youth
developmentally appropriate games that develop personal growth in motor skills and confidence
healthy eating and drinking habits for outdoor active play
local environment health and safety awareness

Heroes Impact Society (18 training hours) Building the following into children and Youth: self esteem, self image, confidence, self dignity, self respect, positive choices, character, resiliency, bullying, ABCs of friendship, personal purpose.
Stephanie is the manager of the Grace Thrive. She loves the outdoors, sports and adventure! Her favourite food is stir-fry. Her favourite kid’s joke is “What is blue and smells like red paint? Blue paint” Her favourite colour is green. Stephanie’s favourite sports team is the Germany Soccer Team. Stephanie runs Deeper Youth at the Bridge.
She loves that Thrive facilitates respect for nature and encourages adventure through it. In the future she plans to become a social worker.
Jessica is the assistant manager of our Grace Center. Jessica is skilled in art and math. She loves hockey, reading and comic books. She is passionate about working with kids, travel and Star Wars! When it comes to food pulled pork snadwiches are her fave! She roots for the Vancouver Canucks. Her favourite colour is turquoise. The joke that makes her smile is: "What do you call a cow with two legs? Lean Beef. What do you call a cow with no legs? Ground Beef. What do you call a sheep with no legs? A cloud." Jessica has lived in New Zealand. She is half American and half Canadian. She grew up on a ranch and her favourite ride at Disneyland is Space Mountain. Jessica's favourite hockey player is Trevor Linden. When it comes to Thrive she loves to listen to the kids talk about things that they are excited about! Her favourite thing about working at Thrive is getting to hang out with the kids while going to the water slides and beaches, as well as playing tag, watching movies, reading stories and making up secret handshakes.
Jessica has her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts (helps with arts and crafts time). She also worked 4 summers at Lake of the Trees Bible Camp. She has taught Sunday School for 8 years and has been babysitting for 13 years. In the future she wants to become a mom. She would also love to illustrate books and explore Europe.
Zeva is a skilled photographer, her interests are cooking and dancing. She is passionate about travelling. Zeva is a foodie, but no pork for her...ew! Zeva loves the Toronto Blue Jays! Zeva does not have a favourtie colour since she loves all colours equally. Zeva can jiggle her eyes!
Zeva's favourite thing to do at Thrive is meet new people and get to know them. Zeva loves playing games not only with the kids but also with the other staff. In the future she wants to travel the world, tasting exotic foods and documenting it with pictures along the way!
